What will we be doing? Why don’t I want my child to miss this trip?

Billie Swamp Safari is located in Clewiston, FL on a Seminole Indian Reservation. It is about a 3 ½ - 4 hour drive (depending on your speed & traffic) from Orlando.

We will be taking a one hour Swamp Buggy Eco Tour through the wetlands where wildlife such as water buffalo, bison, wild hogs, alligators, deer, and many others roam freely. We will then take part in a Swamp Critter Show led by a Native American. Afterwards, everyone will be able to walk through the cypress nature trail at their leisure or take in an airboat ride if you so desire.
The airboat ride is the ONLY activity not included in the package price. Airboat rides are $15.00 per person or $12.75 per person for a group of at least 15 (if you think you may have a group interested- please let Jeannie or John know on your RSVP or send them an email at jeanniesj@earthlink.net ). You must be 4 years and up to ride the airboat.
Once we have eaten dinner, either at the restaurant on site (open 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.) or prepared by ourselves, we will begin our nighttime activities. These include a one hour Night Swamp Buggy tour and Nighttime Campfire Storytelling of the history and legends of the Seminole Indians as told by a Seminole Indian.

Please visit the Swamp’s website at www.seminoletribe.com/safari for pictures and loads of other information!!!
Please RSVP to your den leaders!! Final payment due: January 20, 2007 Happy Trails!
